Huizi said to Zhuangzi: 'I have a big tree whose trunk is too gnarled for the plumb line and whose branches are too twisted for the square. It stands by the roadside, and no carpenter gives it a second glance. Your words are like my tree — big and useless.' Zhuangzi replied: 'Why not plant it in the village of Not-Even-Anything, in the wilds of Broad-and-Boundless, and stroll beneath it doing nothing at all?'
