Foundation Establishment — Building a stable base for higher cultivation. Golden Core (金丹) — A condensed sphere of pure energy formed in the dantian. A major power milestone. Nascent Soul (元婴) — A soul-like entity that forms after Golden Core; grants longevity. Heavenly Tribulation — Lightning trials sent by the heavens when a cultivator grows too powerful. Pass them to advance.
Protagonist (主角) — Usually an underdog who grows absurdly strong. Young Master (少爷) — A rich, arrogant heir who picks fights and gets humiliated. The classic punching bag. Daoist (道友) — A respectful term cultivators use for each other ('fellow Daoist'). Senior (前辈) — Someone higher in cultivation; used as a respectful address. Master / Teacher (师父) — The mentor who guides the protagonist.
System (系统) — A game-like interface that gives the protagonist quests and rewards. Rebirth (重活) — The protagonist dies and wakes up in their younger body. Faceslapping (打脸) — Humiliating an arrogant opponent publicly. The genre's signature satisfaction. MCU (Max Level Return) — A godlike character returns to a weak world.
